The crude reaction material was then purified by silica gel column chromatography using 0-10% methanol/dichloromethane with 1% acetic acid to yield pure l -{[5-(4-chlorophenyl)-l-(2,4- dichlorophenyl)-4-methyl-lH-pyrazol-3-yl]carbonyl}-4-phenylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid (48 mg, 67%).
