To the mixture of ethyl 3-hydroxy-1-methyl-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (200.0 mg, 1.18 mmol) and 1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethanol (159 mg, 1.53 mmol) in THF (5.0 mL) at room temperature was added tri-N-butylphospine (309 mg, 1.53 mmol) followed by diisopropyl azodicarboxylate (309 mg, 1.53 mmol) dropwise.
