The resulting solution was cooled on ice and kept at -3 to 0\u00a1\u00e3C, and 3.0 parts of sodium nitrite were added thereto and stirred for 1 hour to give a diazonium salt solution. Separately, 10 parts of Compound (2) synthesized above were dissolved in 30 parts of methanol to prepare a solution of Compound (2). The above diazonium salt solution was added thereto at 8\u00a1\u00e3C or less. Simultaneously with the completion of the addition, the ice bath was removed, and the mixture was stirred for 2 hours. The reaction solution was added to 300 parts of water at 10\u00a1\u00e3C under stirring and stirred for additional 1 hour. Precipitated crystals were separated by filtration and sufficiently washed with water. The crystals were dried to give 12.5 parts of Intermediate Compound (4).
