The synthetic route is as follows.<\/p>\n<p>A stirred solution of 4-nitro-1H-pyrazole 12 (10.0 g, , 88.4 mmol), 2-bromo ethanol (12.0 g, 97.3 mmol) and cesium carbonate (43.0 g, 132.6 mmol) in DMF (130 mL) was heated to 100C for 6h. After the completion of reaction (TLC monitoring), the reaction mixture was cooled to RT, diluted with water (200 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (2 x 200 mL).
