The solution was stirred for 10 min then cooled to -50C and a solution of 5-amino-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (2.0 g, 14.3 mmol) and DIEA (2.49 ml, 14.3 mmol) in DMF (20 ml) was added. The solution was allowed to slowly warm to ambient temperature over 2 h. The solution was diluted with EtOAc and washed with brine. The organic layer was dried, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo.
