The combined organic fractions were washed with brine (3 x 10 ml), dried with Na2S04, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by preparative HPLC reverse phase (C-8), eluting with (MeCN\/H20=2\/l), to give 4-(difluoromethyl)-l,3-dimethyl-lH- pyrazole as an oil.
