The mixture was then concentrated and purified by chromatography (silica, EtOAc\/PE=1\/7) to afford ethyl 1-(2-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)ethyl)-3-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylate (2.3 g, 6.4 mmol, 64%).
