The reaction mixture was stirred for 0.5 to 1 h as analyzed by TLC (until complete disappearance of the thioacid was observed). After the reaction was complete, the solvent was evaporated under vacuum and diluted with EtOAc (20 mL). The organic phase was washed with 10percent HCl (2 \u00d7 10 mL), 1 N Na2CO3(3 \u00d7 10 mL), H2O (2 \u00d7 10 mL) and brine (10 mL) and then dried over anhydrous Na2SO4. The solvent was filtered and evaporated under reduced pressure.
