The reaction mixture was cooled to 0 C and 1-propanephosphonic anhydride solution (T3P) (15.89 mL, 26.70 mmol, 50% in ethyl acetate) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with water (200 mL) and extract with dichloromethane (3 x 100 mL). The combined organic layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated to afford the title compound 4-bromo-N-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-1H-pyrazole-3- carboxamide (3.6 g, crude) as a white solid.
