DMAP (0.60 g, 4.9 mmol) and di-tert-butyldicarbonate (12.9 g, 59.q mmol) were added and the solution was allowed to warm to rt and stir for 16 h. The reaction was diluted with EtOAc (200 mL). Then the mixture was washed with IN HC1 (aq.) (2xl00mL), saturated aq NaHC03 (2xl00mL), dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated.
