Sodium hydride (1.3 g, 32.1 mmol) was added to a solution of 4-nitropyrazole (3.3 g, 29.2 mmol) in dry tetrahydrofuran (30 mL) at 0 C. After stirring for 1 hour, methyl iodide (20 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred for another 2 hours at room temperature. The mixture was poured into ice water (100 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL*3). The organic phase was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was added to a mixed solvent (20 mL) of petroleum ether and ethyl acetate (20:1), and stirred, solid was precipitated out. The solid was filtered out and dried in vacuo for 8 hours to give 1-f as a white solid (2.6 g, yield 70%). The product was directly used in the next reaction without further purification. LC-MS (ESI): m\/z=128[M+H]+.<\/p>\n
