Additional DIPEA (0.5 mL, 2.8 mmol) and 3,3-difluoropiperidine hydrochloride (0.29 g, 1.8 mmol) were added and the mixture was heated at 130 C. in a microwave for 2 hr. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the crude product was purified via silica gel column chromatography (0-60% EtOAc\/isohexane) to yield 3,3-difluoro-1-(1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)piperidine as a yellow oil (127 mg, 83%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta 8.04 (s, 1H), 3.80 (s, 3H), 3.41-3.29 (m, 2H), 3.26-3.04 (m, 2H), 2.17-2.03 (m, 2H), 1.97-1.88 (m, 2H).<\/p>\n<p>These compound has a wide range of applications.
