The organic phase was dried and evaporated and the residue was purified by S1O2 column (eluting from cHex to 50% EtOAc) to afford ethyl 4-bromo-2,5-dimethyl-1 H-pyrazole-3- carboxylate (260 mg) as oil and ethyl 4-bromo-1 ,5-dimethyl-1 H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate (p77, y= 44% yield) as white solid.
