The oil was taken up in dichloromethane, neutralized with aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution, extracted with methylene chloride (3x), dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated to afford 25.9 g of the title product as a white solid, m.p. 61-64 C. 1H NuMR (CDCl3): delta 12.4 (br s,lH), 7.59 (d,lH), 6.37 (d,lH).<\/p>\n<p>These compound has a wide range of applications.
