The reaction mixture was heated at reflux overnight. Excess nitromethane was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by automated flash silica column chromatography (40 g column) eluting with a gradient of 20-50% EtOAc in heptanes. The fractions were evaporated to give the title compound as a yellow solid (1.31 g, 97%).
