The resulting mixture was heated at 100 \u00a1\u00e3C for 1 h then cooled to ambient temperature. The reaction was poured into ice water (30 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (2 x 75 mL). The combined organic layers were washed with brine (50 mL), dried over sodium sulfate and evaporated under reduced pressure.
