Then the reaction mixture was stirred at 100 C for 16 h. LC-MS indicated the desired product was detected. Water ( 10 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred at 5 C for 1 h. Then the mixture was filtered and the filter cake was dried in vacuo to give 6-benzyl-5-methyl-3-phenyl- pyrazolo[l,5-a]pyrimidin-7-ol (65.3 mg, 195.92 mutaueta, 43% yield) as a white solid.
